The staff was wonderful, the language was not a barrier at all and they were ready and keen to help. Breakfasts are tremendous and a restaurant is only a 2 minute walk away for dinner. The hotel is located outside of Guilin on the shore of a small lake and close to the reed flute cave. Going to Guilin is easy by Taxi and the staff is always very helpful to organize everything for you.
Beautiful location by a lake, and 5-minute walking distance from the popular Reed Flute Cave.At breakfast you can try a traditional noodle soup or go for more regular fried eggs with bacon. Very clean and well maintained.location is very peaceful and beautiful .Walking distance to the Reed flute caves.,but a 15 min drive into Guilin hotel has a restaurant across the little lake which is fairly basic too.Hotel staff were very friendly and went out of their way to make sure we had everything we need and were taken care of.We were able to meet the owner of the hotel/restaurant who is lovely and a total #GIRLBOSS.She was previously married to Coleman 'Coley' Laffoon.

It is a pity that we did not have more time to stay in Guilin and will definitely come back, this time in October. The staff was super helpful and I felt very taken care of.
Be ready that in Guilin, the rain can be very strong ! Yuki on reception was exceptional at organizing tours and transportation logistics. Yuki was so kind to arrange airport pick up as well as a tai chi class for me.

We were lucky that it only rained at night during the two days and a half we were there. Yuki has excellent English and other staff use voice translation apps that work very well. I enjoyed their tea and the restaurant was conveniently located across the lake. Yuki and her team (apologize i do not know their name) are happy to assist and answer any questions, as well as helping book tickets for various attractions. The hotel is a bit outside of downtown but i think it is more a plus giving the relaxed setting than an inconvenient.
